parker received her bachelor of interior architecture and design from florida state university. she went on to study in new orleans at tulane university — where she received both her master of architecture and master of preservation studies.

during her studies, parker participated in graduate research across spain documenting various public housing typologies. in puerto rico, she proposed a design model for implementing adaptive reuse projects in old san juan. most notably, she received the tulane school of architecture travel fellowship grant. she published this researched which focused on the perceptions of adaptive reuse religious structures — primarily 12th - 17th c. Roman Catholic churches.

after almost a decade of education, parker lived and learned in san francisco — completing a comprehensive historic structures report on hubbell trading post national historic site. this research was published in the library of tulane university. her architectural work on the west coast focused on material conservation of historic buildings. just a few historic structures that parker left her mark on include — 225 bush street, the santa barbara historic courthouse, the war memorial opera house, filoli historic house and gardens, and multiple historic structures at stanford university.

parker now creates in new orleans, where the splendor of the city’s vibrant history inspires her daily.
